Product Description
The development of Valeport Mini SVP sound velocity meter aims to provide a cost-effective tool for collecting sound velocity information without affecting the quality of the data. MiniSVP is an ideal choice for ROV, coastal or small boat applications, particularly suitable for survey companies, military and academic communities, and similar institutions. It is simple to use and easy to handle.
sensor
The miniSVP is equipped with Valeport's digital time-of-flight sound velocity sensor, PRT temperature sensor, and strain sensor
Pressure sensor.

data acquisition
MiniSVP has multiple pre programmed sampling modes, covering many standard applications. Can operate between 1 and 16Hz
Sampling data within a certain range to make it suitable for rapid analysis or continuous measurement at a fixed point
Sampling mode
Continuous: All sensors output periodically at 1, 2, 4, 8, or 16Hz.
Analysis: Specify the amount of water column to record data when the device descends (or rises)
signal communication
The instrument will operate autonomously and communicate directly with a personal computer for setup and data extraction before and after deployment. It can also perform real-time operations, with optional communication protocols as standard configuration, and pin selection on the output connector:
RS232: Cable up to 200 meters long, directly connected to the serial port
RS485: Cable with a maximum length of 1000 meters
Baud rate: 4800 – 460800
Protocol: 8-bit data bit, 1-bit stop bit, no checksum, no flow control
Bluetooth: Bluetooth recorder and communication set for cable free data recovery (500 meter rated) memory
The miniSVP is equipped with a solid-state non-volatile FLASH memory that can store over 10 million rows of data (equivalent to 10000 analytical data to a resolution of 500-1 meters).
